Getting in front of the camera can be very intimidating for some, while others can mask the nerves. Today I’m going to give you three of my top tips to feel confident in being yourself in front of the lens.
Wear something comfortable.
I know you want to dress the part and look like a million bucks, but you don’t have to sacrifice comfort to achieve the look. When you’re trying to suck in because your pants are a little tight… we will see it written all over your face. Bring the heels, wear the makeup, and dress up but make sure you are comfortable to sit down and strike a pose.
Change up your pose.
We all know that awkward feeling of saying “cheese” for way too long. During your shoot, I help change your pose so you don’t have fake smiles. A slight moving your head to the right or looking down, will make the difference and help us find your best angle. Believe it or not but simply changing a pose every few seconds will help you feel more confident and relaxed in front of the camera.
Use props during your shoot.
What do I do with my hands is a real-life thought for most, not just Will Ferrell. Who knew holding a pair of glasses will help you strike a confident pose? Of course, during your session, we will help you position your hands but props are a great way to feel confident while showcasing your business.
